Kawaya Hails Launch of Miseleni–Kwa Mwaura Road Upgrade as Major Boost for Mwala Economy

Residents of Mwala Constituency marked a major development milestone after the official handover of the Miseleni–Kwa Mwaura Road for upgrading to bitumen standards by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.

Speaking during the event, Mwala MP Vincent Kawaya described the project as a transformative investment that reflects the Kenya Kwanza administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing connectivity, and accelerating economic growth in rural areas.
Kawaya said the upgrading of the road would end years of transportation challenges faced by residents and significantly improve movement of goods and services between Mwala and Matungulu constituencies.

He noted that the road project is expected to boost trade, ease access to schools and health facilities, and stimulate economic empowerment across the larger region.

The legislator thanked Deputy President Kindiki for gracing the occasion and reaffirming the government’s commitment to equitable development across the country
