Caleb Amisi Embarks on European Tour for Governance and Economic Engagements

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has departed for Europe for a series of high-level engagements in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic aimed at strengthening discussions on governance, democracy, youth leadership, and economic transformation.

In his remarks before departure, Amisi said the visit will involve meetings with key officials and policy experts, including Dr. Stefan Friedrich, Head of Department for Sub-Saharan Africa at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), Kenya’s Ambassador to Germany H.E. Stella Mokaya Orina, Nils Wormer, Deputy Head of Division European and International Cooperation at KAS, and Christine Toetzke, Director General for Bilateral Cooperation covering Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

The legislator is also expected to engage with foreign policy and security experts Dr. Gerrit Kurtz and Dr. Karoline Eickhoff from the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), as well as Serap Güler, Minister of State at the Federal Office.

Amisi noted that the engagements will focus on meaningful exchanges around governance reforms, democratic growth, youth empowerment, economic opportunities, and Africa’s increasing influence in shaping global affairs.

He emphasized that Kenya must embrace fresh ideas and transformative leadership to unlock its full potential, declaring that “Kenya needs a renaissance.”

The MP said the visit presents an opportunity to build stronger international partnerships and learn from global experiences that can help address challenges facing Kenya and the wider African continent.

Amisi has recently positioned himself as a vocal advocate for governance reforms, youth inclusion, and innovative economic policies aimed at empowering ordinary citizens and strengthening democratic institutions.
