LSK President Faith Odhiambo Commends Edwin Sifuna’s Bold Leadership and Stand on Justice

By Irene

Outgoing Law Society of Kenya President Faith Odhiambo has praised Edwin Sifuna for his outspoken advocacy on justice and human rights, describing his leadership as admirable amid Kenya’s evolving political landscape.

Speaking during an interview with a local television station on Monday, February 17, 2026, Odhiambo said she continues to closely follow developments in governance and leadership across the country, signaling her sustained interest in national affairs even as her tenure at the LSK comes to a close.

She emphasized that her observations reflect a commitment to justice and accountability, noting that strong voices within public leadership remain essential in safeguarding democratic values and the rule of law.

Odhiambo clarified that although there have been suggestions she publicly align herself with certain political figures, her position remains one of admiration rather than political affiliation.
She added that she appreciates the work and firm stance taken by leaders such as Sifuna on national matters, particularly in defending human rights and advocating for justice.

Her remarks highlight the importance of principled leadership and continued civic engagement as Kenya navigates governance challenges and institutional reforms.
