Charles Nguna Joins President Ruto in Launch of KSh147.5 Million NYOTA Start-Up Fund in Machakos

Charles Nguna on Tuesday joined His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos during the official launch of the NYOTA Start-Up Capital disbursement, a major boost to youth entrepreneurship in the region. The initiative will see KSh147.5 million disbursed to 5,901 beneficiaries drawn from Kitui, Machakos and Makueni counties.

Out of the total beneficiaries, 320 youths are from Mwingi West Constituency, reflecting the government’s commitment to ensuring inclusive and equitable access to economic opportunities across the region.

Nguna welcomed the programme, noting that the NYOTA Start-Up Capital is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses. He emphasized that access to start-up capital remains a major challenge for many youths and described the programme as a timely intervention.

The NYOTA Start-Up Capital programme is part of the government’s broader agenda to strengthen grassroots economies by supporting youth-led⁰ enterprises and promoting financial inclusion across the country.
