Kitui Women Representative Celebrates KSh20 Million Milestone, Vows Greater Empowerment Drive in 2026

As 2025 comes to a close, the Kitui County Woman Representative has reflected on a year marked by tangible progress in grassroots empowerment, expressing gratitude for the collective efforts that have transformed communities across the county.

In her end-of-year remarks, the Woman Rep highlighted the achievement of disbursing over KSh 20 million in support of Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), describing the milestone as a powerful symbol of lives changed rather than just a financial figure. She noted that the funds have helped spur new businesses, uplift families, and strengthen community networks, particularly among women and youth groups.

“Reaching the 20 million shillings milestone is not just a statistic; it represents lives touched, businesses started, and communities strengthened,” she said, emphasizing that investing in people remains the cornerstone of her leadership agenda.
Looking ahead to 2026, the Woman Representative expressed renewed energy and optimism, pledging to scale up empowerment programs targeting youth, women, and community groups. She underscored her commitment to ensuring that development and prosperity reach every corner of Kitui County.
“We are not slowing down; we are scaling up our efforts,” she affirmed, calling on residents to continue working together toward shared goals.

She concluded by rallying the people of Kitui around a common vision, stating that collective action remains key to building a more prosperous and inclusive county. “Together, we are building the Kitui we want. Let’s make 2026 a year of even greater impact,” she said.
