Yatta Member of Parliament Hon. Robert Basil has called on all eligible students from the constituency to take full advantage of the Yatta Bursary Application Portal, which officially opens on 8th December 2025 and closes on 25th December 2025.

In a message to students—affectionately referred to as comrades—Hon. Basil encouraged them not to miss this important opportunity to secure financial support for their education.

“Usiachwe nyuma—apply, apply!” he emphasized, urging learners in universities, colleges, and technical institutions to submit their applications in good time.

The bursary portal, accessible at yattabursary.co.ke, is expected to serve thousands of students seeking assistance to meet their tuition and learning expenses. To ensure a smooth application process, the Yatta NG-CDF office has also provided a support line (011 2269148) for students who may require guidance or clarification during the application period.

According to the MP, the bursary program remains a critical intervention aimed at ensuring equitable access to education, especially for vulnerable learners across Yatta.

Students applying for the bursary are required to upload or present the following documents:

1. National Identity Card or Birth Certificate

2. Valid Student ID Card or Official Admission Letter

3. Parent or Guardian’s National Identity Card

4. PWD ID Card for persons living with disabilities

5. Death Certificate or Burial Permit for orphans or partial orphans

Hon. Basil reaffirmed his commitment to expanding educational opportunities in the constituency, saying the bursary program is one of the key pillars of his development agenda.

The MP urged all students to apply early to avoid last-minute challenges, noting that timely application increases the chances of successful processing and allocation of funds.

With the portal now open for submissions, Yatta learners have a crucial window to secure financial aid and pursue their academic dreams without interruption.
