The incoming Nairobi ODM Chairlady, Rosemary Okuta, has called on all Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) members to rally behind the party’s candidates in the upcoming by-elections.
Speaking during a grassroots mobilization meeting in Nairobi, Okuta emphasized the importance of unity and loyalty within the party ranks, urging members to set aside personal differences and focus on strengthening ODM’s position in the city.
> “As ODM members, we must speak in one voice and support all our candidates without hesitation,” Okuta stated. “This is not the time for division or internal competition. Our strength lies in our unity.”
She further encouraged young people and women to take up active roles in the party’s activities, noting that ODM remains committed to inclusivity and progressive leadership.
> “The future of ODM and Kenya’s democracy depends on how well we empower our youth and women. Let’s walk this journey together as one family,” she added.
Party members who attended the event praised Okuta for her leadership and commitment, saying her message of unity comes at a crucial time as the party gears up for the by-election.
The by-election is expected to attract significant attention as ODM seeks to solidify its influence in Nairobi’s political landscape.
