Urbanus  Wambua, popularly known as Kana, made a powerful political statement during the Wiper Democratic Movement–Kenya (WDM-K) National Delegates Conference (NDC) held at Uhuru Park on Friday. As an aspirant for the Kibwezi West parliamentary seat, Kana delivered a passionate speech that earned him loud cheers and marked him as one of the rising stars within the party.


> “Kibwezi West deserves a fresh start. Our youth are crying for jobs, our farmers are struggling, and our roads are impassable. I am here to offer a new kind of leadership—one that listens, one that delivers,” Kana told the energized crowd.



Kana’s speech, though brief, stood out for its authenticity and boldness. He emphasized grassroots development, youth empowerment, and full accountability in public service—echoing the Wiper Party’s call for integrity and service to the people.

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who was present at the event, acknowledged Kana’s contribution, referring to him as one of the "young leaders who represent the future of this party and this country."

Kana’s growing popularity in Kibwezi West and his bold appearance at the NDC have already begun to reshape local political dynamics. Supporters see him as a fresh alternative to the traditional political elite, with his message resonating particularly among the youth and marginalized communities.

> “Kana speaks our language. He’s not here for power—he’s here for change,” said Grace Ndunge, a youth leader from Makindu who attended the NDC.



As the 2027 general elections draw nearer, Kana's campaign is expected to gain momentum, especially now with a visible endorsement from the Wiper political machinery.
