Masaki Kicks Off Soccer Tournament as He Eyes Embakasi South MP Seat

*Nairobi, Kenya –* Youth in Embakasi South have received a major boost after politician Samwel Masaki launched a soccer tournament aimed at nurturing talent and promoting unity.

Speaking during the launch in Nairobi, Masaki said the tournament will not only keep young people engaged but also open doors for budding footballers to showcase their skills. He added that sports can be a powerful tool for change, offering opportunities while steering the youth away from crime and drug abuse.

The tournament, which has drawn teams from across Embakasi South, will run for several weeks, with the winning side set to walk away with trophies and prizes. Local leaders and residents praised the initiative, saying it will inspire hope and bring communities together.
Masaki, who has declared his interest in the Embakasi South parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election, noted that the event marks part of his commitment to empowering young people. He pledged continued support for sports and community projects that uplift lives.

Excitement filled the air as players and fans turned up in large numbers, underscoring the popularity of football in the constituency. Many youth expressed optimism that the tournament could be a stepping stone to greater opportunities in Kenyan football.
