Machakos Town MP Vincent Kawaya has lauded President William Ruto’s initiative to roll out affordable housing projects in Machakos County and across the country, terming it a significant step toward uplifting low- and middle-income earners.

Speaking at the Machakos Teachers College grounds during a Bodaboda empowerment drive in Machakos Town Constituency, Kawaya said the move not only offers an accessible path to home ownership but also promises to create thousands of jobs for unemployed youth. He noted that the initiative will spur economic growth and strengthen social stability.

“The Kenya Kwanza Administration is delivering on its agenda, and our re-election will be based on our scorecard,” Kawaya told the crowd, emphasizing the government’s commitment to improving livelihoods through development-focused policies.

The affordable housing plan is part of the government’s broader strategy to ensure decent shelter for all while tackling unemployment among the youth.
