NAIROBI, August 7, 2025 — Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has gifted 500 football fans a chance to witness the Harambee Stars in action today, after purchasing match tickets for the highly anticipated clash between Kenya and Angola at Kasarani Stadium.
The match, which is part of the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, has attracted nationwide attention, with fans eager to see the national team continue its winning momentum. Kalonzo's gesture was announced earlier today by his communications team, stating it as an effort to boost local football morale and rally national unity.
"As a patriotic Kenyan and a passionate supporter of local sports, I believe our boys deserve all the support they can get. By enabling more fans to attend this match, I hope the Harambee Stars will feel the full energy of home support," said Kalonzo in a short statement.
The 500 tickets were distributed to youth groups, community football teams, and selected supporters from informal settlements across Nairobi, ensuring a diverse and enthusiastic crowd at the stadium.
Kalonzo also called on the government and private sector to invest more in sports development and infrastructure, saying Kenya’s talent should be nurtured and celebrated on global platforms.
The Harambee Stars are expected to face a tough opponent in Angola, but with an energized crowd behind them, hopes remain high for a strong performance on home soil.
Kick-off is set for 4 PM at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
