MOGO DONATES MOTORCYCLES, OFFICE FURNITURE TO KISUMU POLICE TO BOOST FIGHT AGAINST MOTORCYCLE THEFT

Mogo has donated motorcycles and office furniture to police stations in Kisumu County as part of efforts to strengthen police mobility and combat rising cases of motorcycle theft. Central and Obunga police stations, alongside the Nyanza Regional Police Commander’s office, each received a motorcycle, while the stations and the DCIO office received tables and chairs to support their operations.

Mogo said the initiative is aimed at strengthening collaboration between security agencies, boda boda operators, motorcycle owners, financiers and communities in preventing and recovering stolen motorcycles. 
Nyanza Regional Police Commander Peter Oburu welcomed the support, saying the motorcycles would enable officers to respond faster to incidents, conduct patrols and engage communities more effectively. 

Mogo representative Branton Mutea said the company plans to extend the initiative to all 47 counties, while urging members of the public and boda boda operators to promptly report suspicious activities and stolen motorcycles. The company also operates a 24-hour emergency response service and its SAKA platform to support the reporting and recovery of stolen vehicles and motorcycles.
