INCOMING KITUI GOVERNOR NICHOLAS MULILA VOWS TO PUT YOUTH AT THE HEART OF HIS GOVERNMENT

Kitui gubernatorial aspirant Nicholas Mulila has pledged to make young people a central pillar of his administration if elected Governor, promising greater inclusion in leadership, economic empowerment and access to opportunities.

Speaking during a meeting with Kitui youth based in Nairobi at the National Youth Centre, Mulila said his administration would establish ICT centres across the county to equip young people with digital skills, promote online jobs and connect them to opportunities in the digital economy.

He also pledged to fight misuse of public resources, promote equitable development across all constituencies and work with elected leaders regardless of political affiliation. Mulila further urged young people to register as voters and actively participate in shaping Kitui’s future.

He said the youth should not only be viewed as beneficiaries of government programmes but as active partners in decision-making and the development of Kitui County.
