Kisumu is entering a defining moment as incoming Kisumu Governor Matthew Owili steps up his bid to lead the county, promising to protect the gains made over the past nine years while opening a new chapter of development and prosperity.

Owili, who has worked alongside Governor Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o for the past nine years, says his experience in county leadership has given him a clear understanding of Kisumu’s achievements, challenges and opportunities.

Speaking during a breakfast meeting with members of the Fourth Estate, Owili presented his vision and development agenda, emphasizing integrity, accountability, inclusivity and selfless public service.

He pledged to build an administration guided by the voices and aspirations of Kisumu residents, while focusing on unlocking new opportunities and ensuring that the benefits of the county’s growth reach every resident.

“Together, we will protect our progress, unlock new opportunities and ensure that every resident shares in Kisumu’s growth and prosperity,” Owili said.
