Rose Wanja Celebrates as Daughter Alyssa Luciel Wins TeenEagle Global English Competition

 Rose Wanja is celebrating after her daughter, Alyssa Luciel, affectionately known as "Wakili," was part of the Kenyan team that emerged winners of the Talent Showcase at the TeenEagle Global Finals in the United Kingdom.

The eight-member team from Riara Springs Girls' High School delivered an outstanding performance, earning Kenya the top honor on the global stage. Their victory highlighted the power of teamwork, creativity, communication, collaboration and confidence among young learners.

In a heartfelt message, Rose Wanja described the achievement as deeply personal, saying watching her daughter represent Kenya internationally and feature on the official TeenEagle English Competition social media platforms filled her with immense pride.

She praised the school's leadership, Principal Mrs. Mulinge, teachers Mr. Mutwiri and Ms. Lissah, for nurturing learners beyond academics and providing opportunities that allow students to showcase their talents on the world stage.

Rose noted that the victory demonstrates the value of competency-based education by equipping learners with practical skills, confidence and the ability to excel globally.

She also encouraged parents to expose their children to opportunities beyond the classroom, urging them to support participation in competitions, collaboration, travel and talent development.

The team's triumph has been celebrated as a remarkable achievement for Riara Springs Girls' High School, their families and Kenya, with the students receiving praise for flying the country's flag high and proving that Kenyan talent can compete and win at the highest international level.

Congratulating the girls, Rose Wanja expressed confidence in Alyssa's bright future, encouraging her to continue pursuing her dreams while inspiring other young Kenyans to believe in their potential
