Riara Springs Girls' High School Wins TeenEagle Global Talent Showcase, Making Kenya Proud

Kenya is celebrating yet another remarkable international achievement after Riara Springs Girls' High School emerged the winner of the TeenEagle Global Finals Talent Showcase held in the United Kingdom.

The victory saw a team of eight talented students outshine competitors from across the world with a performance that showcased creativity, teamwork, confidence, communication and innovation.

The school's success was hailed as a testament to Kenya's Competency-Based Education (CBE), which equips learners with practical skills beyond the classroom.

Celebrating the achievement, proud parent Rose Wanja expressed immense joy after her daughter, Alyssa Luciel, affectionately known as "Wakili," was among the eight girls who represented Kenya on the global stage.

Wanja described the victory as a deeply personal milestone, saying seeing her daughter featured on the official TeenEagle English Competition Facebook page and helping Kenya secure the global title filled her heart with pride.

She praised the school's leadership under Principal Mrs. Mulinge, as well as teachers Mr. Mutwiri and Ms. Lissah, for nurturing learners' talents and providing opportunities that allow students to excel beyond academics.

Wanja encouraged parents to expose their children to opportunities outside the classroom, saying experiences such as international competitions help young people discover their talents, collaborate with others, build confidence and compete on the world stage.

She noted that the eight girls travelled to the United Kingdom not merely to participate but to demonstrate excellence, teamwork and determination, ultimately bringing home the championship trophy for Kenya.

She congratulated the students, teachers, coaches and parents for the remarkable achievement, saying the team had made their school, their families and the entire nation proud.

The victory marks another milestone for Kenya in international academic and talent competitions, highlighting the country's growing reputation for nurturing globally competitive young leaders.
