Kenya is celebrating another remarkable international achievement after Riara Springs Girls' High School emerged winners of the TeenEagle Global Finals Talent Showcase held in the United Kingdom.

Among the eight talented students who delivered the winning performance was Alyssa Luciel, affectionately known as "Wakili," Rose Wanja's daughter 

The Kenyan team outshone competitors from around the world with a captivating performance that demonstrated creativity, teamwork, confidence, communication and innovation, earning the top prize in the global talent showcase.

The victory has been hailed as a strong endorsement of Kenya's Competency-Based Education (CBE), which encourages learners to develop practical skills, creativity and collaboration beyond the classroom.
Rose Wanja expressed immense pride in her daughter and the entire team, describing the achievement as a dream come true.

She said seeing Alyssa represent Kenya on the international stage is a memorable moment that filled her heart with pride.

Wanja commended Riara Springs Girls' High School Principal Mrs. Mulinge, alongside teachers Mr. Mutwiri and Ms. Lissah, for their dedication to nurturing learners and creating opportunities that enable students to excel both academically and in co-curricular activities.

She encouraged parents to support their children's participation in activities beyond the classroom, saying international competitions help young people discover their talents, build confidence, strengthen teamwork and develop leadership skills.

Wanja noted that the eight girls travelled to the United Kingdom not merely to participate but to demonstrate excellence, determination and collaboration, ultimately bringing home the TeenEagle Global Talent Showcase title for Kenya.

She congratulated the students, teachers, coaches and parents for the remarkable achievement, saying the victory had brought honour to the school, pride to their families and glory to the nation.

The triumph marks another milestone for Kenya in international academic and talent competitions, further showcasing the country's ability to nurture globally competitive young learners.
