Incoming Kitui Governor Makali Mulu Empowers 150 Boda Boda Riders with Smart Licences



Incoming Kitui Governor hopeful Hon. Makali Mulu has reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment and road safety after issuing smart driving licences to 150 trained boda boda riders from all wards of Kitui Central Constituency.

Speaking during the event held at the Kitui Central NG-CDF Grounds, Makali said empowering young people through skills training, proper documentation and economic opportunities is key to improving livelihoods and promoting a safer and more professional transport sector.

He noted that the boda boda industry plays a critical role in the county's economy by creating employment and providing reliable transport services, adding that equipping riders with the necessary documentation enhances professionalism and compliance with road safety regulations.

Makali said continued support for the transport sector will contribute to building a more organized, productive and prosperous Kitui, while creating more opportunities for young people to earn a decent living.
He congratulated the 150 beneficiaries and urged them to uphold the highest standards of discipline, safety and customer service as they carry out their daily work.

The incoming governor hopeful reiterated his commitment to championing initiatives that empower youth, create jobs and accelerate socio-economic development across Kitui County.
