Rose Wanja Commends CS Geoffrey Ruku and Public Servants as Huduma Mashinani Transforms Lives in Kangemi
Team Patron of Kangemi Allstars FC Rose Wanja has commended Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Kiringa Ruku and public servants for their dedication to service delivery following the successful Huduma Mashinani Caravan held at Kangemi Primary and Junior High School.
Speaking during Africa Public Service Day celebrations, Wanja said the outreach programme demonstrated the impact of bringing government services closer to wananchi and highlighted the importance of dedicated public servants in transforming communities.
She applauded President William Ruto, Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Kiringa Ruku, Principal Secretary Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya, regional and county administrators, security officers, teachers, healthcare workers and other government officials for their commitment to serving Kenyans.
“The successful Huduma Mashinani Caravan in Kangemi is a testament to what committed public service can achieve. Public servants continue to transform lives through their dedication and sacrifice,” Wanja said.
Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku was present during the event, which brought together government officials and residents to mark Africa Public Service Day while offering essential services to the community.
Through the government's Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, sanitary towels were distributed to schoolgirls while boys received boxers, an initiative aimed at restoring dignity and supporting learners from vulnerable backgrounds.
As Ghetto Empress, Wanja also facilitated access to government services by paying for applications that enabled residents to obtain birth certificates, register for Social Health Authority (SHA) services and acquire driving licences.
She noted that the smiles witnessed among beneficiaries reflected the true meaning of public service, saying service to the people goes beyond offices and titles and is rooted in compassion and humanity.
Wanja further pledged to support sports development at Kangemi Primary School by providing football goal posts for boys and establishing a volleyball court for girls. She said the initiative would nurture talent, promote healthy lifestyles and create opportunities for young people.
She emphasized that partnerships between government, community leaders and residents remain critical in building stronger and healthier communities.
As Africa Public Service Day was celebrated, Wanja paid tribute to public servants across the country, describing them as unsung heroes whose resilience and commitment continue to keep the nation moving forward.
She said the Huduma Mashinani programme represents real devolution and demonstrates the importance of taking government services directly to the people.
