Rajasthan Foundation Nairobi Chapter Explores Social Development and Community Projects
Rajasthan Foundation Nairobi Chapter Chairman Dr. Sonveer Singh held high-level discussions with senior officials of the Rajasthan government during his visit to India, focusing on strengthening the Nairobi chapter and advancing social development initiatives.
During the meetings, Dr. Singh engaged with senior government officials and representatives of the Rajasthan Foundation to discuss issues affecting the Rajasthani diaspora in Kenya, social development programs, and investment opportunities.
He met Rajasthan Foundation Commissioner Dr. Manish Arora and members of the Foundation’s team to explore ways of making the Nairobi chapter more active and effective. The discussions also focused on strengthening ties between the Rajasthani community in Kenya and their home state through cultural, educational, economic, and social cooperation.
Dr. Singh also held talks with Additional Chief Secretary Shikhar Agrawal regarding the proposed establishment of a charitable hospital-cum-medical college and a youth skill development center in Bharatpur.
The proposed project aims to provide quality healthcare services, medical education, and vocational training opportunities for young people. According to Dr. Singh, discussions have previously been held with former Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma regarding the allocation of 10 acres of land in Bharatpur for the project.
He said the initiative would provide long-term benefits in healthcare, education, and employment-oriented training once implemented.
Dr. Singh expressed appreciation to the Rajasthan government officials for their guidance, cooperation, and warm reception, noting that the Rajasthan Foundation Nairobi Chapter remains committed to working closely with government agencies and stakeholders to implement community development initiatives.
He added that the chapter will continue strengthening ties between Rajasthan and the global Rajasthani community while promoting welfare programs that benefit both the diaspora and local communities.
