PS Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya Champions Huduma Mashinani in Kangemi to Bring Government Services Closer to Kenyans

Residents of Kangemi benefited from the Huduma Mashinani programme as Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya, led an outreach initiative aimed at bringing government services closer to the people.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Imbunya said the government is committed to ensuring that every Kenyan, regardless of their location or social status, has access to essential public services. She noted that the Huduma Mashinani initiative is designed to eliminate barriers that prevent citizens from accessing government services.

The programme brought together various government agencies, enabling residents to receive services such as registration, documentation, social protection assistance, and information on government programmes without having to travel long distances.

Dr. Imbunya emphasized that the government is focused on improving service delivery by taking services directly to communities and ensuring that no Kenyan is left behind. She said the initiative aligns with the government's agenda of promoting efficiency, inclusivity, and accessibility in public service.
Local residents welcomed the outreach programme, saying it had reduced the cost and inconvenience associated with seeking government services in urban centres.

The Principal Secretary called on citizens to take advantage of such initiatives, noting that Huduma Mashinani is a key pillar in strengthening the relationship between government institutions and the people.

The Kangemi outreach underscored the Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes' commitment to delivering people-centred services and ensuring that government services reach every Kenyan.
