Incoming Isiolo North Mp Mwenda Thunanira Says Leadership Must Be Defined by Action, Not Promises
Incoming Isiolo North parliamentary aspirant Mwenda Thunanira has emphasized the need for accountable and service-oriented leadership, saying that true leadership is measured not by campaign promises but by the ability to deliver tangible results to the people.
Speaking on his vision for Isiolo North, Thunanira noted that leaders should be judged by their commitment to accountability, transparency, and dedication to public service after elections.
He stressed that every child deserves access to opportunities, every mother deserves dignity, and every elderly person deserves respect. He added that taxpayers have a right to see public resources translated into improved roads, quality healthcare services, reliable water supply, stronger educational institutions, and economic opportunities that uplift communities.
Thunanira said his leadership philosophy is anchored on integrity, humility, and purposeful service. He pledged to listen to residents, address their concerns, and champion sustainable development initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of the people of Isiolo North.
According to him, leadership should not be viewed as a position of power but as a responsibility to serve and deliver meaningful change.
“As leaders, we must move beyond campaign rhetoric and focus on actions that improve people's lives. Leadership must be defined by service, accountability, and results,” he said.
He called on residents to embrace unity and work together towards building a prosperous Isiolo North where development, inclusivity, and good governance remain key priorities.
The remarks come as political leaders continue to outline their visions ahead of the 2027 General Election, with Thunanira positioning himself as a champion of accountable leadership and community-centered development under the slogan #MoveWithMwenda.
