Time for Change: Dr. Augustus Muli Calls Out ‘Failed Leadership’ in Ukambani, Unveils Reform Agenda”

The Party Leader of the National Liberal Party, Dr. Augustus Muli, has launched a sharp critique of leadership in the Ukambani region, accusing past and current leaders of failing to deliver meaningful development to the people.

In a strongly worded statement, Dr. Muli said poor leadership has cost the region decades of progress, leaving residents grappling with underdevelopment, unemployment, and unfulfilled promises. He argued that many leaders have normalized mediocrity, only engaging citizens during election cycles without offering sustainable solutions.

“Our people deserve more than empty promises and recycled rhetoric,” he stated. “Leadership must be about accountability, vision, and tangible results that uplift every household—not political survival.”

Dr. Muli positioned himself and his party as a reform-driven alternative, pledging to champion integrity, transparency, and people-centered governance. He emphasized that Ukambani’s future depends on leaders who are willing to break away from what he termed as “politics of stagnation” and instead embrace innovation and inclusive development.

He further called on residents to take an active role in shaping the region’s future by rejecting ineffective leadership and demanding accountability at all levels of government.

According to Dr. Muli, the time has come for a political reset in Ukambani—one that prioritizes service delivery, economic empowerment, and long-term development over short-term political gains.
As political momentum builds ahead of future elections, his remarks are likely to spark renewed debate across the region, with growing calls for a new leadership approach anchored in performance and trust.

“The time for change is now,” he concluded, urging wananchi to rally behind a new vision aimed at transforming Ukambani into a region defined by progress, opportunity, and accountable leadership.
