Safaricom Revamps My OneApp with Favourites Tab Return and Smarter “Frequents” Feature

Safaricom has rolled out a new update to its popular mobile platform, MySafaricom App, introducing user-driven improvements aimed at enhancing convenience and personalization.

The latest version, 5.1.5, now available on the Google Play Store, comes in response to customer feedback, signaling the telco’s continued focus on refining digital experiences for its millions of subscribers.

Among the key upgrades is the restoration of the “Favourites” tab within the transactions section. This feature allows users to save frequently used contacts, making it easier and faster to send money, airtime, or complete other common transactions without repeatedly entering details.

In addition, Safaricom has enhanced the “Frequents” section, enabling users to quickly access their most-used apps and services within the platform. This improvement is designed to streamline navigation and reduce the time spent searching for regularly used features.

The update reflects Safaricom’s broader strategy of leveraging customer insights to drive innovation, particularly as digital services continue to play a central role in everyday financial and communication needs.

Users are encouraged to download or update the app to enjoy the new features, with more improvements expected in future releases as Safaricom continues to evolve its digital ecosystem.
