Levi Mulase Unveils Bold Economic Plan as People's renaissance Movement Gains Momentum
Busia County senatorial aspirant Levi Mulase has declared his bid for leadership with a strong message of economic transformation, youth inclusion, and ideology-driven politics, following the official registration of the People's renaissance Movement (PM party).
Speaking at the party headquarters Mulase described the movement as a “newborn that is already running,” signaling what he termed as a fast-growing political force set to shape Kenya’s future. He emphasized that unlike traditional formations, the PM party is rooted in ideas and policies rather than personality-driven politics.
Mulase called on Kenyans, particularly the youth, to actively participate in politics by joining political parties, which he described as key vehicles for nurturing leadership and strengthening democracy. He urged young people to move from the sidelines and take part in shaping the country’s governance and economic direction.
At the core of his senatorial bid is an ambitious economic agenda for Busia County, leveraging its strategic position as a border region. Mulase noted that Busia has long functioned as a transit point, but with the right policies, it can transform into a hub of economic activity and value addition.
He highlighted the need for investment in cold storage facilities to support local fishermen, who currently rely on brokers due to lack of preservation infrastructure. By establishing such facilities, he said, fishermen would be able to store, process, and sell their produce more profitably.
Mulase also pointed to agriculture as a key pillar of growth, proposing the establishment of rice milling industries in areas like Bunyala. This, he argued, would not only create jobs but also ensure farmers benefit more from their produce instead of transporting raw crops to other regions for processing.
Framing his vision around economic renaissance and democratic maturity, Molase maintained that his leadership would prioritize practical solutions that uplift livelihoods and empower local communities
As the PM party begins its journey, Mulase
expressed confidence that its ideology-driven approach and focus on inclusive development will resonate across the country, positioning it as a formidable player in Kenya’s political landscape.
