FBI Movement Leader Patrick Osoi Declares Renewed Fight Against Impunity Following FBI National Prayer Breakfast
Speaking after the gathering, Osoi described the National Prayer Breakfast as "a success of the century," noting that participants made a collective declaration to protect Kenya's future and ensure that the nation remains on a path of prosperity and self-determination.
According to Osoi, Kenya has for years operated under a political culture where powerful individuals and interests have exerted influence over critical sectors of society, often at the expense of ordinary citizens. He argued that such a system has contributed to inequality, exclusion, and a concentration of power in the hands of a few.
"We cannot continue living in a society where politicians control our banks, healthcare, education, and even metadata," Osoi said, adding that the country must embrace reforms that strengthen institutions and protect democratic freedoms.
The FBI Movement leader further criticized what he described as a growing obsession with political power among some leaders, claiming that opponents and dissenting voices are often targeted instead of being allowed to contribute to national discourse.
Osoi, however, expressed optimism about the role of young people in shaping the country's future. He said Kenyan youth are increasingly demanding accountability, transparency, and responsible leadership, and remain determined to challenge injustice wherever it exists.
He revealed that discussions held with young people reinforced a shared commitment to continue fighting brutality, corruption, poor governance, and impunity in public institutions. He emphasized that the movement's focus remains on protecting public resources, promoting integrity in leadership, and ensuring that national interests come before personal gain.
"The youth believe in change, and they are ready to stand up against corruption, dirty deals, and any attempt to sell the country's future to the highest bidder," he said.
Calling on Kenyans to unite in pursuit of a better nation, Osoi urged citizens to actively participate in governance and hold leaders accountable for their actions. He maintained that meaningful change will only be achieved through collective action and unwavering commitment to justice and good governance.
"My fellow country people, the time is now," Osoi said. "We must stand together in the fight for our country and secure a better future for generations to come."
His remarks come amid increasing public debate on governance, accountability, youth participation in leadership, and the need for reforms aimed at strengthening democratic institutions and protecting the interests of Kenyan citizens.
